About Us

We are Alexie and Amanda — Our origin story begins during our freshman year of highschool, where we have been inseparable, best friends ever since. We were both born and raised in Bryan, TX and are proud members of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2013. Gig’em! Fast forward to today, and we’ve become business owners and fashion mavens together through our passion project, Boujee Beads.

We are alike in so many ways. So much so that we are teased by our close friends as we often show up to gatherings unintentionally matching (at least now we have an excuse for wearing matching bracelets!) We share the same love for family, karaoke, routines + traditions, a good sense of humor, disliking math and Wings n More — where you’ll find us every Saturday for lunch! 

While we may be similar in a lot of ways, we differ and balance each other out in other ways. For example, Alexie is an early bird who rises at 4:30 most mornings to make bracelets, while Amanda is a night owl who would rather make bracelets until 1 in the morning! 

Working the same jobs all throughout high school and part of college, we would often be separated because we were having too much fun. Now, we get to talk and laugh all we want while “working!” There is never a dull moment when we’re together. 

We have always loved accessorizing with bracelet stacks so it has been so much fun making our own designs to share with others. What started out as a hobby quickly led to our family and friends asking for bracelet stacks of their own. Now you can also join in on the fun by wearing our unique bracelets fit for every occasion! We are so excited to see Boujee Beads take off in the Bryan-College Station area as we truly enjoy our “work” and cannot wait to see where it leads us.

What started as a small passion has now grown beyond our wildest dreams! ❤️

THE BOUJEE BEADS STORY

We have always shared a mutual passion for accessorizing and creating custom looks from different pieces of jewelry. Mixing and matching different colors, textures and materials definitely sparks joy in us. So when the pandemic began, we used our time in quarantine to experiment and make our own custom bracelets at home. Soon, our family and friends begged us to create designs for them. Then their friends and family started to place orders… and then their friends and family. The rest is history. Within a matter of months we had a website, Etsy shop, social media presence and customers ordering our bracelets from all over the world!  

We have recently expanded our shop to include necklaces, earrings, rings and more. Now our customers can create full, cohesive looks — all with the same quality of materials. Additionally, we have been working hard to curate even more Boujee Beads collections for any occasion. 

Never in a million years would we have thought our little hobby would explode into a thriving business… but we are thrilled that you all share the same love for Boujee Beads as we do.
